The Welcome is a device that can be accessed from an owner's Settings Tab. It can be set up to welcome various people to the stream and send a message you can automate to each. Currently you can set it up to automatically welcome new lurkers, new chatters, and new followers. You can also set up default currency settings with the Welcomer.

Lurkers

The first category of people you can welcome are lurkers. This can be enabled and disabled using the Welcome Lurkers checkbox. When enabled, Vivbot will send the designated welcome message to ALL people who enter the room for the first time.

WARNING: Many lurkers that come to simply watch or check out your stream do not like to be called out. Doing so may scare many of them off. Use this option very carefully when running your stream.

Note: This only applies to a users VERY FIRST time entering your room. Leaving and Reentering the room will NOT set the welcome message off again.

Lurker Welcome Delay

This will determine how long, in seconds, Vivbot will wait to say it's welcome message after a lurker has entered the stream, for the first time. After a lurker first enters the stream, Vivbot will collect the names of all Lurkers first entering the stream, and say them all at once in the given welcome message.

Example: Welcome Delay is set for 10 seconds. After Lurker1 enters room a 10 second timer is started, if Lurker2 and Lurker3 enter before 10 seconds is up, Vivbot will include Lurker1, Lurker2 and Lurker3 (in place of $users$) in it's welcome message at the end of the 10 seconds. If Lurker4 enters after the welcome message has been said, a new 10 second timer will start.

Lurker Welcome Message

Here you can change the welcome message that is given out to Lurkers after entering chat. This welcome message will be given off 30seconds after a Lurker has entered, where 30 is the Lurker Welcome Delay. when making the welcome message, including $users$ will make Vivbot list the names of all Lurkers that entered during the time set by the Lurker Welcome Delay.

Chatters First Message

The second category of people you can welcome are people who have said their first message ever in your chat. This can be enabled and disabled using the Welcome on First Message checkbox. When enabled, Vivbot will send the designated welcome message to ALL people who have said their first message in your room.

Note: This only applies to a users VERY FIRST message said in your room. Leaving and Reentering the room will NOT set the welcome message off again.

First Message Welcome Delay

This will determine how long, in seconds, Vivbot will wait to say the set welcome message after a person has said their first message in the stream. After a chatter's first message Vivbot will collect the names of all other chatters who say their first message, and say them all at once in the given welcome message.

Example: Welcome Delay is set for 5 seconds. After Chatter1 says his first message a 5 second timer is started, if Chatter2 and Chatter3 say their first message before 5 seconds is up, Vivbot will include Chatter1, Chatter2 and Chatter3 (in place of $users$) in it's message at the end of the 5 seconds. If Chatter4 says their first message after the welcome message has been said, a new 10 second timer will start.

First Message Welcome Message

Here you can change the welcome message that is given out to Chatters after the first message they enter in your chat. This message will be given off 7 seconds after a Chatter has said their first message, where 7 is the First Message Welcome Delay. when making the welcome message, including $users$ will make Vivbot list the names of all chatters that have said their first message during the time set by the First Message Welcome Delay.

Followers

The final category of people you can welcome are people who follow your stream. This can be enabled and disabled using the Welcome Followers checkbox. When enabled, Vivbot will send the designated welcome message to all people who follow your stream. This is very useful for tracking new followers and thanking them for following the stream.

Note: The welcome will be said to all people who follow the stream. Unfollowing and refollowing the stream WILL set the welcome message off.

Follower Welcome Delay

This will determine how long, in seconds, Vivbot will wait to say the set welcome message after a follower has followed the stream. After a follow, Vivbot will collect name of all people who followed in the given time, and say them all at once in the given welcome message.

Example: Welcome Delay is set for 60 seconds. After Follower1 follows the stream a 10 second timer is started, if Follower2 and Follower3 follow the stream before 10 seconds is up, Vivbot will include Follower1, Follower2, and Follower3 (in place of $users$) in it's welcome message at the end of the 10 seconds. If Follower4 follows after the welcome message has been said, a new 10 second timer will start.

Thank you so much $users$ I appreciate the follow!!!! Welcome to the channel.

Here you can change the welcome message that is given out to followers who follow your stream. This message will be given off X seconds after a Follower has followed, where X is the Follower Welcome Delay. When making the welcome message, including $users$ will make Vivbot list the names of all Followers that have followed during the time set by the Follower Welcome Delay.

Currency Defaults

These are default currency amounts that you can give to new people and new followers to make them feel more welcome.

Starting Currency

This is how much currency people get when they enter your room FOR THE FIRST TIME. This will NOT work retroactively, it can NOT be used to give currency to people who have already entered the room and earned any currency.

Currency Given For Following

This is how much currency a user gets when they follow the stream. This will only work if a person followers while the owner is streaming. This will not work if Vivbot is not turned on in the stream.

WARNING: This CAN be abused. If a user unfollows and refollows the stream Vivbot will continue to award currency. Keep an eye out for this.
